Reuters: Bomb kills five in Iraq

A suicide car bomber has killed at least five people and wounded 15 in Iraq.

The bomber targeted an Iraqi police headquarters in the northern town of Tikrit.

Men volunteering to join the force had been crowding the area at the time.

Iraq's police and army recruits have been a frequent target of suicide bombers.

Seven killed in Baghdad shootings

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Seven people were killed in a series of shootings throughout the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Saturday and Sunday, an Iraqi police official has told CNN.


So that's a total of 15 Iraqis dead.

BAGHDAD (AFP) - Insurgents killed at least 35 people in a series of attacks throughout Iraq, while clashes between police and protestors in a poor southern Shiite town added to the day's death toll, security officials said.
