Wounded reservist tapped to run for House seat - Army Times

An Army reservist who lost both legs in Iraq has become the second Iraq war veteran to win her party’s nomination for a seat in Congress.

Tammy Duckworth, a major in the Illinois National Guard who was badly wounded while serving as a helicopter pilot, won over two other competitors for the Democratic nomination in the race for Illinois’s 6th congressional district.

What's really good to me about this story is, that's it's in the Army Times. Also, that Duckworth won!
