3/21/06 - DoD Identifies Army Casualties

The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, on March 18, when they came under small arms fire by enemy forces during combat operations. Both solidiers were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Lewis, Wash.

Killed were:

Staff Sgt. Ricardo Barraza, 24, of Shafter, Calif.

Sgt. Dale G. Brehm, 23, of Turlock, Calif.
