BAGHDAD, Iraq - A U.S. soldier was killed Saturday by a roadside bomb in the Iraqi capital, the military said.
The soldier, assigned to the 42nd Military Police Brigade, died at the hospital after the blast in Baghdad, the military said. No other details were released.

Originally, from Billings Montana now living in Muncie Indiana. Graduate of Billings West High in 1976. In the Marines Reserves from August 1975 to 1981. Co. B 4th Recon. Bn. 4th MarDiv. In May of 1987 I joined the Navy. I was onboard the USS Midway from June 1988 to 1991, with a tour of duty in the Persian Gulf during the first Gulf War. Got out of the Navy in 1995.
