USS Midway "Cat Shots" KA-6 Tanker

These photos were taken from the "crows nest." I'm not sure of the exact date taken, but it is during "ODS". I don't remember the squadron number. We had 4 of these planes on board. While taking this picture, you could feel the heat from the engines as they took off.

Originally, from Billings Montana now living in Muncie Indiana. Graduate of Billings West High in 1976. In the Marines Reserves from August 1975 to 1981. Co. B 4th Recon. Bn. 4th MarDiv. In May of 1987 I joined the Navy. I was onboard the USS Midway from June 1988 to 1991, with a tour of duty in the Persian Gulf during the first Gulf War. Got out of the Navy in 1995.
