Protesters Absent From Soldier's Funeral

TheIndyChannel.com

KOKOMO, Ind. -- Protesters did not show up at Monday's funeral of a 21-year-old Army sergeant from Kokomo, but hundreds of mourners did pay their respects to the fallen soldier.

Sgt. Rickey Jones was killed Feb. 22 in Iraq.

This was the first funeral of a serviceman from Indiana since Gov. Mitch Daniels signed a bill into law last week that makes disorderly conduct within 500 feet of a funeral a felony offense.
