TIKRIT, Iraq – Four Soldiers from 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division were killed near Hawijah Feb. 22 when their vehicle struck an improvised explosive device.
The Soldiers were on a combat patrol at the time of the incident.

Originally, from Billings Montana now living in Muncie Indiana. Graduate of Billings West High in 1976. In the Marines Reserves from August 1975 to 1981. Co. B 4th Recon. Bn. 4th MarDiv. In May of 1987 I joined the Navy. I was onboard the USS Midway from June 1988 to 1991, with a tour of duty in the Persian Gulf during the first Gulf War. Got out of the Navy in 1995.
