Taliban 'Spokesman': U.S. Commando Killed

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (AP) -- A purported Taliban spokesman said Saturday that the group has beheaded a missing American commando, but he offered no proof and the U.S. military said it was still searching for the Navy SEAL.

I sure hope not. Hopefully we'll find him alive.

In May of 1987 I joined the Navy. I was onboard the USS Midway from June 1988 to 1991, with a tour of duty in the Persian Gulf during the first Gulf War. Got out of the Navy in 1995.
