Study: Army Pressed to Keep Up With War

WASHINGTON (AP) -- If demands on the Army for overseas combat continue at current levels, the Army will have serious problems keeping enough soldiers trained and ready, a new study finds.

In that circumstance, the president would have "few, if any" ready active-duty combat units to call on in a crisis, said the study released Wednesday by the RAND Corp., a nonprofit research organization.
