DoD Identifies Marine Casualties

The Department of Defense announced today the death of two Marines who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Pfc. Veashna Muy, 20, of Los Angeles, Calif.

Cpl. Chad W. Powell, 22, of West Monroe, La.

Both Marines died June 23 while traveling in a convoy that was attacked by a suicide, vehicle-borne, improvised explosive device in Fallujah, Iraq.
