Bayh, Lugar no strangers to filibusters

Indiana's senators likely will disagree in vote on whether to ban method for judicial nominations.

WASHINGTON -- When it comes to using the filibuster to block a proposal they didn't like, both Republican Sen. Richard Lugar and Democrat Evan Bayh have employed it.

Lugar once led a filibuster that blocked a bill that would have made it easier to unionize small businesses.

Bayh has joined Democratic filibusters that have prevented final votes to amend the Constitution to ban gay marriage, limit medical malpractice awards and appoint some judges to the federal bench.

Lugar is for nuke option. I must call him, to express my concerns.
